MOSCOW, August 1. Russian aviation continues to develop, despite unprecedented sanctions pressure, this applies to infrastructure, airfields, control systems, and new routes are also opening, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with the head of Rosaviatsia Dmitry Yadrov.
«It is very important that today, despite the unprecedented sanctions pressure, domestic aviation continues to develop. This is not only the aviation itself, it is also the infrastructure, airfields, the control system, new routes are opening, you said this. There is less and less need to make a transfer somewhere or fly to Moscow to return back in the direction of the same Far East, this is all very important,» Mishustin said.
The Prime Minister noted that air traffic and air transport are of strategic importance for the country, so it is important to make flights more accessible. It is planned to increase their intensity by 1.5 times over six years.
«This will require a comprehensive approach and coordinated actions not only by government agencies, but also by private organizations, companies, science, industry, the digital industry, the construction complex, and the entire large, as we call it, aviation community,» Mishustin emphasized.
