A fire broke out in a neuropsychiatric boarding school in the Perm Territory, but no one was hurt. An EMERCOM employee and his son managed to save 15 disabled residents of the institution, as reported by the press service of the department.

According to information posted on the Telegram channel of the federal department, the fire occurred on the second floor of the boarding school due to a faulty electric lamp. 261 people were able to leave the building on their own.

According to the report, before the arrival of the first fire brigade, an EMERCOM employee of Russia Yuri Potapchuk, while off duty, saved 15 people. Later, gas and smoke protection workers of the EMERCOM pulled another woman out of the second floor.

As it became known, Potapchuk's wife, who works at the boarding school, told him about the incident. His 14-year-old son Dmitry helped him with the evacuation. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire covered an area of ​​25 square meters, and, fortunately, no one was hurt.
