Russians are ready to buy souvenirs and local specialties more often when traveling if they have the opportunity to send excess baggage by Post. This was shown by the results of a survey that the logistics operator conducted on its website. More than 2 thousand people took part in it.
According to the survey, 54% of its participants travel regularly. Only 26% go on vacation lightly; the majority of respondents (74%) travel with luggage. Not all respondents know that excess baggage can be sent by delivery services. Thus, among travelers, only 15% have used this service, 45% know about this opportunity and 55% have not heard about it. At the same time, exactly half of the survey participants noted that if they had the opportunity to send excess luggage by Russian Post, they would be more willing to buy additional souvenirs, local products or take additional things.
83% of travelers who sent luggage send it via Russian Post, which has branches in all corners of the country. Another 40% of those who are aware of the service, but have not yet had time to use it, also state their readiness to send their luggage by Russian Post in the future.
