Claude Monet's «Wheat Field» to be auctioned in Russia

MOSCOW, August 8 The painting by French impressionist Claude Monet «Wheat Field» of 1881 will be put up for auction in Russia for more than one billion rubles, according to the official website of the center for remote bidding «Unified Informant».

The painting is oil on canvas and is signed «Claude Monet» on the front in the lower left corner.

The original genuine work of art from a private private collection is located in Moscow in a closed depository — storage. The painting was brought to the Russian Federation in compliance with the legislation of European countries and the Russian Federation. The work is a cultural treasure over 100 years old.
