The Bavarian brand's next «charged» coupe is expected to hit the European market in spring 2025.
< p> BMW has been producing a “hot” version of the M2 coupe since 2016, the development of this modification was carried out by the BMW M division. In October last year, the Bavarians introduced the new generation BMW M2 coupe. Recall that during the change of generation, the “two-door” received a different exterior design, carbon fiber seats in the cabin, as well as a 3.0-liter engine, which is equipped with the M3 and M4.

In the future, the line will be replenished with another «charged» version of the model — the new generation BMW M2 CS. It is expected that such a coupe will be on sale in the European market in the spring of 2025. So far, there is no official information about how the new hot “two-door” will look like. Although the previously disguised prototype of the model is near the Nürburgring race track, so there is already some idea of the appearance of the novelty.
The designer of the Spanish publication Motor.es offered his own version of the potential exterior of the new generation BMW M2 CS. It is assumed that the “charged” compact coupe will have the same appearance as the “two-door” M2 presented last year. Probably, the novelty will receive the same radiator grille in the form of branded “nostrils”, but with a bright red edging (like the BMW XM Label Red), similar head optics, but with a contrasting yellow light signature.

Judging by the image, there are several enlarged air intakes of the same “square” shape in the lower part of the front bumper, as well as a carbon fiber splitter on the edge. There is a horizontal vent «slit» on the hood. In addition, the next BMW M2 CS sports car is likely to receive forged alloy wheels of the original design, as well as powerful carbon-ceramic rear brakes. The side skirts, as well as the exterior mirror housings, may be made from lightweight carbon fiber.
On the presented render, the stern is not visible. It is assumed that the trunk lid will have a new spoiler (the so-called «duck tail»), borrowed from the new M4 CSL. In the interior of the “charged” coupe, sports front bucket seats are expected. It is not yet known whether this model will be a two-seater or whether it will have a second row of seats.

It is assumed that under the hood of the new generation BMW M2 CS will be the same engine that is equipped with the “just” M2, as well as the M3 and M4. We are talking about an in-line six-cylinder 3.0-liter S58 biturbo engine, which is likely to be boosted to 480 hp. (A typical M2 coupe produces 460 hp). It is expected that he will be offered an eight-speed automatic transmission with two clutches in the kit. Recall that the current BMW M2 with an “automatic” takes 4.1 seconds to accelerate from a place of “hundreds”; and up to 20 km/h it accelerates in 13.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (up to 280 km/h with the M Driver's Package).
