The petrol and diesel versions were not touched, while the e-2008 variant received a different electric motor and a larger battery.
The French company has been producing the current second generation Peugeot 2008 crossover, as well as its fully electric version since 2019. Now it's time for a planned update of this model: as it turned out, restyling mainly affected the appearance of the SUV, casually walked through its interior and only partially touched the «stuffing».

As part of the update, the model received a thoroughly revised “front end”: for example, other head optics immediately attract attention. The place of branded single “fangs” of daytime running lights was taken by “sets” of three thin stripes, and the company noted that this “drawing” is a reference to the schematically depicted traces of the claws of a lion. The simpler versions retained halogen headlights, while the top-end version was equipped with new LED main headlight units with three luminous elements.
Peugeot 2008 also received a different grille (a plug in the case of the e-2008 version). It was expanded to the headlights, so that now they visually merge, in addition, the “grill” has slightly changed the pattern of strokes. Of course, this crossover logos are designed in a new style. The profile has been refreshed with new rims of original design, their diameter varies from 16 to 18 inches.

The stern has changed less: the rear bumper, including the massive lower part, was decided to remain the same, and the shape and pattern of the lanterns were slightly changed. They are still horizontally elongated, find the tailgate and are interconnected by a wide plate, but the name of the brand is written differently on it, in larger letters. In addition, the pattern of three solid elements in each lantern turned into six separate horizontal strokes. Despite the changes in appearance, the dimensions of the car remained the same — 4300 x 1987 x 1550 mm.

In particular, the infotainment system has new graphics, an upgraded voice assistant, and it also has the ability to remotely update over the air. Even now, even the basic versions of the crossover have a 10-inch touchscreen (the pre-reform “2008” has 7 inches). The entry-level version still has analog gauges, while the more expensive trims get a 10-inch i-Cockpit with a new gauge display. 2008 was equipped with a different manual transmission lever and new trim materials. The cameras now have a higher resolution, additional USB connectors have appeared in the cabin, and the power of the built-in device for wireless charging gadgets has been increased to 15 watts (the pre-reform version had 5 watts).
The lineup of the updated Peugeot 2008 still includes the 1.2-liter PureTech petrol “turbo engine” in two boost options — either 101 or 131 hp. Both versions have a six-speed “mechanics”, and for a more powerful version, an eight-speed automatic transmission is also offered. The 1.5-liter BlueHDi turbodiesel with a return of 131 hp also remained in the range; it comes only with an “automatic”. Later, the family will be supplemented by a hybrid, the installation of which is based on a 136-horsepower 1.2-liter turbo engine, working in tandem with a 48-volt “electric addition”, a six-speed preselective “robot” is offered in pair.
Technology was updated only for the «green» Peugeot e-2008 crossover. During the upgrade, it was equipped with an electric motor developed by Emotors (JV Stellantis and Nidec), the output is 156 hp, and the maximum torque is 260 Nm (for comparison, the pre-styling version has 136 hp and the same 260 Nm) . Electrocross received a traction battery with a capacity of 54 kWh (previously — 50 kWh). Now the range of the e-2008 on a single charge has increased by 61 km to 406 km (the calculation was carried out according to the WLTP cycle). on sale in the European market this summer. Production will be established at the plant of the auto giant Stellantis, which is located in Spain.
