The Chery Arrizo 8 sedan with a length of 4780 mm made its debut in China last summer. At the moment, the most prestigious «four-door» of the brand is offered with a non-alternative gasoline «turbo» 1.6 TGDI, which produces 197 hp. and 290 Nm. And soon a more powerful version will join the lineup: today Chery announced in China the «eight» with a two-liter turbo engine.

However, a car with such a grille was shown at an early stage of the campaign to declassify the Arrizo 8, moreover, the sedan had such a “mesh” demonstrated in Russia this spring. As for the motor, then, according to the documents of the certification body, Arrizo 8 sent a “turbo four” 2.0 TGDI with a capacity of 254 hp. (390 Nm). Probably, like a sedan with a junior 1.6 TGDI engine, such an “eight” will be available with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. The drive is exclusively front. Later, a plug-in hybrid version will also appear in China.
