Donald Trump snapped at a CNN host who called her a "unpleasant person" and stated that his sexual assault verdict would help him win in 2024 during a wide-ranging prime-time speech to Republican voters.
The former US president fell out with moderator Caitlan Collins when she insisted on keeping him secret documents at his estate in Mar-a-Lago.
When Collins challenged his answers, Trump said, «Can I talk? Can I answer a question?”
“I want you to answer a question, which is why I asked it,” Collins replied. «You're a nasty person,» Trump said to an applause from an audience of GOP voters.
Elsewhere at a CNN Q&A event, Trump boasted that his polls had «growth.» after he was sentenced for sexual harassment and called the accuser «crazy».
The comments were met with thunderous applause, potentially allaying Republican fears that this case would hurt Trump.» 39th proposal to return to the White House.

On Tuesday, a jury found Trump guilty of sexually assaulting magazine writer E. Jean Carroll in the 1990s and ordered her to pay $5 million.
The jury rejected the more serious charge of rape in a civil case. but ruled that Mr. Trump had slandered her when he later denied her story, calling it a «complete scam.»
But Mr. Trump doubled down on his comments in his first public appearance since the verdict. , calling Miss Carroll «crazy» and insisting that her account was "fake".
Viewers asked the 76-year-old man if he was worried about turning down female voters after being found guilty of sexual assault.
He replied, “My poll just came in. went out — they went up". It was unclear what poll data he was referring to.
He said of his accuser: "I never met her. I have no idea who she is" one day she said: "I swear on my children".
His comments were met with applause from the audience, which CNN said was made by primary and undeclared or independent GOP voters.
The audience applauded and cheered as Mr. Trump ridiculed Ms. Carroll's report, a longtime columnist tips for Elle. She said that Mr. Trump attacked her in a high-end New York department store.
He asked the crowd, «What kind of woman meets someone and after a few minutes you start playing handkerchiefs.» in the locker room?"
He said that the civil suit that Ms. Carroll filed in New York was a «rigged deal»; and he planned to appeal.
"We had a terrible judge appointed by Clinton who was terrible" He said. Mr. Trump's critics lambasted him for his online comments.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a flamboyant left-wing congresswoman, called it «disgraceful.»
She told MSNBC: «What we seen tonight was a series of extremely irresponsible decisions that put a victim of sexual assault at risk… in front of a national audience, and I couldn't agree more with that.» It was shameful"
