Refreshed «four-door» of the Japanese brand debuted in Thailand, prices are already known. The novelty will reach dealers before the end of this month.
The current generation compact Nissan sedan was introduced in 2019, it is sold under different names in different markets: for example, in the countries of North and South America, the model was called Versa, in the Middle East — Sunny, and in Southeast Asia — Almera. It is worth noting that this model, once produced in the Russian Federation, has nothing to do with Almere, since it was an analogue of the BlueBird Sylphy.

As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the North American Nissan sedan experienced a restyling in the fall of 2022. Now it's the turn of the Asian version of the «four-door»: the Thai office of the brand posted the official announcement last week, and now the updated Almera has been completely declassified.

As expected, the «four-door» was updated in the likeness of the American «brother» — the Nissan Versa sedan. So, the model received a new radiator grill with a pattern in the form of thin horizontal lines, a large brand logo in the center and additional lining on the sides. The lower part of the front bumper with foglights and an integrated air intake now looks different. The profile and stern of the refreshed version were left untouched. More models have updated the body color palette with a light gray-blue color scheme.
Salon Nissan Almera in the course of restyling received its portion of new things. The models changed finishing materials, installed a frameless interior rear-view mirror, added the function of wireless charging of smartphones (the platform is located at the base of the center console). The list of equipment includes cruise control, automatic high beam switching to low beam, lane departure warning system and tire pressure monitoring.
The restyling did not affect the technology of the sedan: the Nissan Almera, presented in Southeast Asia, will continue to be offered with a 1.0-liter “turbo engine” that produces 100 hp. Its maximum torque is 152 Nm. In Thailand, this engine is combined only with a CVT, while in other countries of the region it can be paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

The refreshed «four-door» will reach dealers in Thailand before the end of this month, prices on the local market are already known. So, for the starting version they ask for at least 549 thousand baht (equivalent to about 1.25 million rubles at the current exchange rate). The cost of the top option is 699 thousand baht (about 1.6 million rubles). One of the main areas of development for the Japanese brand now remains the SUV segment. So, last month, a conceptual Pathfinder crossover, created specifically for the Chinese market, was presented at the Shanghai Motor Show. It is known that the production version will be on the assembly line of the local joint venture Dongfeng Nissan in the fourth quarter of this year.
