The new model year brought Suzuki Jimny several versions with different designs

There are a couple of «hardcore» options for the Japanese brand's all-terrain vehicle, in addition, a «stylish» design has appeared. True, such a variety is not yet available everywhere.

The small SUV Suzuki Jimny of the current generation has become a favorite of tuning studios: special versions of the model appear regularly. But the company itself does not forget to diversify the range of the all-terrain vehicle. So, several new performances went to Jimny already in the 2024 model year in Brazil. There, we recall, the compact has a «surname» Sierra — like a «full-fledged» SUV in Japan («just» Jimny in his homeland refers to kei cars). The prefix was needed in order to distinguish the “three-door” of the current generation from its predecessor (the former Jimny left Brazil only last year). Well, let's add that today the SUV is the only Suzuki car that is offered to Brazilians.

The South American Suzuki Jimny-2024 is available in four trim levels instead of the previous three — this is the basic version of 4You, redesigned 4Sport and 4Style, as well as the new top-end 4Expedition. All of them have a gasoline “aspirated” 1.5 (108 hp) and hard-wired all-wheel drive. The five-speed “mechanics” is only for the cheapest Jimny, the other versions are equipped with a four-speed “automatic”.

Basic Suzuki Jimny Sierra 4You < p>Jimny Sierra 4You has not changed much, on the outside it repeats the global all-terrain vehicle. The arsenal of such a “three-door” includes a multimedia system with a 7-inch screen, a conventional air conditioner and a pair of airbags. The 4Sport version of the Brazilian model appeared last year, it was originally announced as a limited special version, but has now been transferred to the main lineup. Chips — off-road «rubber», a roof rack and bright blue inserts in the cabin. The «limited» ATV still had a snorkel, but the Jimny Sierra 4Sport lost it in the new model year.

Next comes Jimny Sierra 4Style, and this modification has its own design: there is an insert on the radiator grille, bumpers and wheel arch extensions are painted in body color, the SUV also received LED headlights, original diode lights, exclusive wheels and a spoiler, and a spare wheel on the luggage doors were placed in a casing. Inside — a different upholstery, plus the list of equipment includes climate control and a rear-view camera.

It is currently unknown if such performances will appear in other countries. Meanwhile, the long-awaited five-door Suzuki Jimny is preparing to enter the global market.
