Brutal upgrade for the new Volkswagen Amarok from the German studio delta4x4

Tuning studio delta4x4 from the Bavarian village of Pfaffenhofen an der Glonn has unveiled a set of improvements for the second-generation Volkswagen Amarok pickup truck, noticeably improving its cross-country ability and making it look more aggressive.

The new Volkswagen Amarok debuted last summer, and in the fall of that year, the highly experienced delta4x4 studio with more than 40 years of history announced its hardcore version for heavy off-road use. The living car, nicknamed Beast (translated from English as “beast”), was shown by the Bavarians at the end of last week and is already taking orders for it — more precisely, orders for a set of parts that turn an ordinary Amarok into a “beast”.

The result can be estimated from the pictures: as you can see, Amarok has grown a lot and has become wider. The delta4x4 specialists increased its ground clearance in several stages: aluminum spacers between the body and the frame add 100 mm, a set of new suspension parts add another 50 mm, 33-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires, put on branded 18-inch Hanma delta4x4 wheels with a “recessed” hub, — about 20 mm more. The total is 170 mm, but more can be done, since the modification kit is designed to fit 35-inch tires.

The extended track required wheel arch extensions, they add 60 mm to the width on each side and noticeably change the proportions of the pickup truck. The front end received a black grille, a bumper with thick tow straps painted bright red, additional PIAA LED headlights, and new anti-slip footpegs under the sills.

The whole kit will cost the customer 12,200 euros plus installation, plus painting (optional) and, of course, the car itself. In Germany, prices for the new Amarok start at 41,122 euros. Engines — only diesel: 2.0-liter with a capacity of 170 or 205 hp. and a 3.0-liter V6 with a capacity of 240 hp, the gearbox is a 6-speed «mechanics» or a 10-speed hydromechanical «automatic» Ford. Recall that the new Amarok was developed as part of the alliance between Ford and VW and is, in fact, a clone of the current Ford Ranger. » />

In the meantime, the delta4x4 is now adapting not only SUVs and pickups, but also family minivans, commercial vans and even sports cars for off-road driving.
