According to the SPEEDME.RU publication, in April this year, global sales and production increased compared to the same period in 2022 as a result of recovery from the recession, which was caused by the limited supply of semiconductors and the spread of COVID-19 in last year.
According to published data, the main brand Toyota was able to sell more than 800.8 thousand new vehicles worldwide, which corresponds to an increase of 4.9%. Daihatsu — +8.9% – 66,010 cars. But the cargo division of Hino is not doing so well — 8,490 dowry models, down 25% from 2022.
Overall production is showing positive results. At the same time, Daihatsu and Hino brands lowered their figures by 19.9% and 20.1%, respectively. However, Toyota's car production grew by 13.8% — up to 787,800 copies.
In general, in the first four months of this year, Toyota managed to sell 3.2 million cars of its own brand (an increase of 2.6%), as well as 300, 3 thousand Daihatsu models and 43.8 thousand Hino models.
