Avito Auto: sales of premium used cars increased by 91% over the year

Avito Auto experts analyzed the results of sales of premium cars with mileage up to three years brands in Russia. In the third quarter of 2023, sales of premium cars under three years old increased by 22.5% compared to the second quarter of this year and by 91.2% compared to the same period last year. Based on the results of the 3rd quarter of 2023, the best-selling models in the premium segment were Lexus RX, BMW X7, Genesis GV80, BMW 3 Series and BMW X5.

The average cost of a three-year-old premium used car in Russia in the 3rd quarter of 2023 was 6,674,000 rubles, an increase of 7.6% compared to the second quarter.

The steady growth in buyer interest in premium used cars is reflected in the growing share of premium brands in total sales: in July-October this year, the share increased from 1.45% to 1.67%. The five best-selling premium models on the used car market increased in price by an average of 7%

In the third quarter of 2023, the leader in the ranking of the most popular premium models on the used car market under 3 years of age years became the BMW X5, which accounted for 5.14% of total sales of used cars of premium brands. The average price of this model was 8,550,000 rubles. In second place is the Lexus RX with a sales share of 4.53% and an average price of 6,665,000 rubles. BMW X7took third place in the ranking, its share of sales was 3.97%, and the average price was 12,500,000 rubles. The BMW 5 series takes fourth place with a sales share of 3.8% (average price — 4,750,000 rubles), and the fifth place was taken by the Mercedes-Benz E-Class with a share of 3.75% (average price – 4,755,000 rubles). Also in the top 10 best-selling used car models of premium brands under 3 years old are the BMW X6, Genesis GV80, BMW 3 Series, BMW X3 and Lexus LX, respectively, in descending order of sales share.
