Russian-assembled SWM crossovers: prices announced

The compact SUV G01 and its sporty version will soon be released on our market. In addition, customers will be offered a larger cross-country G05 Pro, for which a three-row design is provided.

The Kaliningrad Avtotor plant announced the start of assembly of models of the Chinese brand SWM with Italian roots (now owned by Shineray) back in April of this year. In the spring, it was reported that the Obukhov company had become the distributor of the brand in the Russian Federation; sales were going to start at the end of May — beginning of June, but this never happened. And now SWM’s entry into our market has been announced again, and now the interests of the brand are represented by Vostok Wind Rus LLC.

In Russia, the brand will be represented by three SUVs – the compact G01, its “sporty” version G01F and the larger G05 Pro. The crosses have a common filling: all models are equipped with a 1.5 petrol turbo engine with a power of 139 hp, which is paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. Front-wheel drive only.

The length of the standard SWM G01 is 4610 mm, width – 1855 mm, height – 1725 mm, wheelbase – 2750 mm. The SUV will be offered in three trim levels. The list of standard equipment includes LED optics, 18-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a leather interior, ventilated and heated driver's seat, climate control, a multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen, a rear view camera, a keyless entry system and an engine start button, as well as “a wide range of active and passive safety systems” (which ones are not specified). More “advanced” versions are promised heated steering wheel and all seats. The price of the SWM G01 crossover varies from 2,438,220 to 2,478,240 rubles.

The G01F has a more impressive body kit and exposed round exhaust pipes; this cross is longer and taller than the original “one” (4670 and 1740 mm). In addition, the “sporty” SUV is richer; the base includes wireless charging for a smartphone, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, electric tailgate, standard video recorder, all-round cameras, front parking sensors, and an air ionizer. Also for the cross-country there are systems for monitoring “blind” spots and tracking markings. Price SWM G01F – from 2,588,340 to 2,628,350 rubles.

The SWM G05 Pro crossover, unlike its brothers, will be available not only with a five-seat, but also with a seven-seat cabin. The length of this model is 4750 mm, the wheelbase is the same 2750 mm. The G05 Pro has 17-inch wheels, leather upholstery, a multimedia system with a 12-inch vertical tablet, and cruise control. The list of equipment for the three-row version additionally includes climate control and a panoramic sunroof. The five-seater SWM G05 Pro will cost 2,625,960 – 2,661,760 rubles, the seven-seater costs from 2,733,460 to 2,769,260 rubles.

< p>SWM SUVs will go on sale before the end of this year; the full price list for each model will be published closer to the debut date. Already in November, 25 new dealer centers of the brand will open in Russia; the list of cities includes Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, etc.
