SAMARA, November 16. Searches are taking place in the Ministry of Finance of the Samara Region, operational actions are related to the investigation of criminal cases of abuse of power of the acting Minister of Construction of the Samara Region Mikhail Aseev and former head of the regional government Viktor Kudryashov, a source in the security forces said.
““The searches are taking place in the Ministry of Finance of the Samara Region, they are related to criminal cases of abuse of power initiated earlier,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
On Tuesday, November 14, the acting minister of construction of the Samara region, Mikhail Aseev, and the former vice-governor and head of the regional government, Viktor Kudryashov, were detained. Both are suspected of exceeding official authority; Aseev is charged with fraud in the design of the Samarskaya metro station, Kudryashov with the Teatralnaya metro station under construction. At the same time, the acting minister of construction of the Samara region did not deny guilt in the criminal case. The former head of the regional government believes that the case against him is fabricated. On Thursday, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Samara took both suspects into custody.
