STONE will hold a public art competition for the STONE Towers quarter

The developer STONE, with the support of the Moscow Architecture Committee, launched the STONE Art open competition “Philosophy of New Forms” for the creation of a public art object. Sculptors, architects, artists and creative groups are invited to participate in the competition. The winning project will be installed in the fall of 2024 on the main square of the premium office quarter STONE Towers between the central lobby of two business centers — Tower B and Tower C.

“The development of street art in the city in all its manifestations is a very interesting creative task that has many different meanings. It influences the general level of culture and perception of the environment, saturates it, makes it more diverse and recognizable. My team and I are seriously working on this issue, communicating with artists, developers, and setting up these connections. It is important to pay attention to the positive trend of recent years — competitions are held, new artistic objects are created, old and significant ones are preserved and transformed into new projects. Now we are starting a new competition with colleagues, and STONE, and I, as a member of the jury, are waiting for bright and at the same time elegant solutions that can highlight the architecture and become a symbol of the place,” said the chief architect of Moscow , member of the expert council Sergey Kuznetsov.

The new STONE initiative opens up the opportunity for artists and architects to present their projects in a new urban space inside the STONE Towers quarter, the architectural concept of which was developed by the Tsimailo Lyashenko and Partners bureau. Applications will be accepted until February 5, 2024.

Based on the results of an open competition, the expert council will select one preliminary design, with the author of which an agreement will be concluded for the creation of an art object. The jury included Sergey Kuznetsov, chief architect of Moscow, Maxim Geyser, general director and shareholder of STONE, Elizaveta Likhacheva, director of the Pushkin Museum. A.S. Pushkina, Margarita Pushkina, founder of the contemporary art fairs Cosmoscow and Blazar, Maria Ulyanova, press secretary of the chief architect of Moscow and Alexey Dorozhkin, head of the Interior + Design foundation, as well as Alexander Tsimailo and Nikolai Lyashenko, founders and architects of the Tsimailo Lyashenko and Partners».
