The artistic director of the Bolshoi Theater ballet will remain the same, Golikova said

MOSCOW, December 1 Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova told reporters that the artistic director of the Bolshoi Theater ballet troupe remains the same.
Earlier on Friday, the Russian Cabinet of Ministers announced that Valery Gergiev had been appointed general director of the Bolshoi Theater for a period of five years. Vladimir Urin was relieved of this position at his own request.
“There is still an active artistic director of the ballet and opera parts here (Makhar Vaziev),” said Golikova, answering the question of who will be the artistic director at the Bolshoi Theater.
