ST. PETERSBURG, December 1. People's Artist of the RSFSR Mikhail Boyarsky, who remains in the hospital after suffering a heart attack, already wants to smoke, but doctors do not allow it yet, said the artist's son Sergei Boyarsky.
On Tuesday, Boyarsky Jr. reported that his father suffered a heart attack, but is already feeling well and is in a regular ward. Mikhail Boyarsky’s wife, artistic director of the Lensovet Theater, actress Larisa Luppian, told the agency that her husband’s hospitalization was planned and everything was fine with him.
«Dad is in the Mariinsky Hospital… Now he is already in an ordinary ward, he really wants to go home and wants to smoke, and this is a sign that he is recovering,» Sergei Boyarsky told reporters. According to him, doctors have not yet allowed Boyarsky to return to smoking, and he has not been able to smoke secretly.
The artist’s son also added that doctors can decide on the timing of Mikhail Boyarsky’s discharge next week. “I think that if everything goes well, then in some foreseeable future. Maybe next week the doctors will say something more definite,” he said, answering the corresponding question.
