RYAZAN, December 6 A criminal case on the provision of unsafe services was opened in Vladimir after a woman was injured when she fell into the technical hatch of a trolleybus, reported the SUSK Telegram channel for the region.
“Investigative bodies of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Vladimir Region, based on reports in the media about a woman being injured during a trip on a trolleybus, immediately opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services , which do not meet safety requirements, if they negligently caused serious harm to human health),” the message says.
According to preliminary data, while riding a trolleybus in Vladimir, «a woman fell into the technical hatch of the vehicle.» The victim was hospitalized in a medical facility.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, the incident occurred on Tuesday. The trolleybus is operated by JSC Vladimirpassazhirtrans. The agency has established that “responsible persons of the carrier organization allowed a vehicle with faults, including inside the cabin, to enter the line, creating a threat of harm to the health of passengers.”
During further supervisory activities, the prosecutor's office will check the condition of all the carrier's rolling stock, the department notes.
