The model of the Italian brand is addressed to the countries of Latin America and Africa. It is known that the “filling” of the truck will differ depending on the market.
The Fiat brand, owned by the auto giant Stellantis, has prepared a new pickup truck. It was officially announced at the end of last year; in May 2023, teasers were published and its name was named – Titano. Last summer, the Italian brand showed the interior of a mid-size truck, but now the company has declassified the exterior of a frame pickup truck and clarified that it is intended for Latin America and Africa.

As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the Fiat Titano is the twin of the Peugeot Landtrek, which appeared in 2020. Let us remind you that the “French” was created in partnership with Changan, so it has other clones from “celestial” brands – Kaicene F70 (export name – Changan Hunter), as well as Changan Lantop (the model is also presented in the Russian Federation under the name Hunter Plus) .
Judging by the exterior, the Fiat Titano does not plan to hide its relationship with the Peugeot Landtrek. It has similar head optics, the same stampings on the hood, and the lower part of the front bumper with fog lights and an integrated air intake is designed in a similar way. The only differences include the design of the radiator grille, which lost its chrome trim and received a grid-like design with volumetric rectangular elements, the brand name and the flag of Italy placed on the side.
The interior of the new product is the same as that of the “donor”. The car received leather interior trim, an infotainment system with a large central touchscreen, in addition, the list of equipment includes all-round cameras, a rear differential lock and a hill descent assist function.
The company explained that the new model will be positioned differently depending on the market. Thus, in Brazil, the frame pickup truck will “conquer” Fiat customers with its design, technology and its off-road capabilities, and in Algeria the fuel efficiency and power of the Titano will be “in focus”. The manufacturer also explained that the equipment will differ in different countries.

So far, the company has only talked about the “filling” of the version for the Algerian market, where pre-orders started today (here the model is offered in Single Cab 4×2 and Double Cab 4×4 modifications). The truck is available with a base Peugeot Landtrek engine – we are talking about a 1.9-liter diesel engine that produces 150 hp. power and 350 Nm of torque. This engine was paired with a six-speed manual transmission. It is worth noting that the range of the French “donor” also includes a 2.4-liter petrol turbo-four with an output of 210 hp. (320 Nm).

What will be under the hood of the Fiat version Titano for Latin American countries, the company has not yet announced. Previously, Brazilian media suggested that the new mid-size pickup truck will receive a 140-horsepower 2.2-liter turbodiesel, which is equipped with the current Fiat Ducato. Local debut will take place at a later date.
