Source: in Nizhny Novgorod, a man was injured while trying to rob a store

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, December 9 A resident of Nizhny Novgorod was seriously injured when he tried to start an arson in a store, a law enforcement source said.
“This afternoon a man called the police who said that he was going to rob a store in the Sovetsky district and demanded that employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs come for him,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
According to the source, the man’s clothes caught fire while trying to set the arson; eyewitnesses described him as “being in an altered state.”

“The fire was put out by people nearby,” the agency’s interlocutor noted, adding that the man was hospitalized with extensive burns to his body.

The agency does not have an official comment from the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told reporters, the fire brigade was called to an incident on Krasnozvezdnaya Street, building 7. “EMERCOM employees helped the ambulance transport the victim, but did not carry out any further work,” the department’s press service said.< br />
