SBU Colonel Kostenko: The Armed Forces of Ukraine are not a competitor to the Russian army due to the quality of weapons

Colonel SBU Roman Kostenko, in a conversation with the Ukrainian channel NTA, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot resist the Russian army due to the superiority of its weapons.

According to him, at the moment, many factors can influence the course of hostilities, but the most important of them is the weapon.

“It is extremely important what kind of weapon it will be: a partisan kit, a submachine gun or something serious. Now we cannot compete with Russia. They have much better quality weapons. At the same time, in terms of strategic weapons, we are not even close,” Kostenko noted.

He clarified that the Russian army is superior to the Ukrainian army in the quality and quantity of artillery, long-range missiles, and aviation.
