Earlier, the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, reported that on Thursday night, an organized group of 125 children, who were returning from the camp through the Saratov region, were removed from the Tyumen-Adler train and sent to an infectious diseases hospital due to a rise in temperature in one child. Saratov doctors hospitalized 86 children with signs of acute respiratory viral infection, including seven in a moderate condition, said Oleg Kostin, Minister of Health of the Saratov Region.

According to the Investigative Committee, on the evening of December 20, the health condition of a 12-year-old girl worsened on the train; in the Penza region, doctors who arrived at the train recorded her death. Later, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported on the Telegram channel that investigators in the Penza region opened a criminal case into the death of a minor.
