The Jetour T2 crossover received a hardcore special version before its debut in Russia

The new version differs from the standard model in its even more impressive appearance. The special version is currently available only on the domestic market, and the hardcore SUV will be released in limited edition.

In Russia, the brutal Jetour T2 crossover is just getting ready to start sales (the Jetour brand belongs to Chery), but in the Middle Kingdom the model has been present since August last year year, there it is called Traveler. Now the SUV has a limited special version in its homeland: from Chinese the name of the new version can be translated as JMK Traveler Silver Dragon Wings (another designation is Stargazer). Well, we note that JMK is Jetour Makers Kingdom, something like a “court” tuning studio of the brand.

The new version has even more impressive bumpers and original 20-inch wheels shod in off-road tires. A lining appeared on the hood, a ladder appeared on the left side, an additional box appeared on the right side, and a “multifunctional platform” was installed on the roof. In addition, Traveler Silver Dragon Wings has its own radiator grille, on which, instead of an inscription with the brand name, there is a diode horizontal strip (the Jetour inscription has been moved above). Finally, there is a trunk on the hinged tailgate, and the vertical light units are placed in “cages”.

< p>Inside, the hardcore cross almost completely repeated the standard T2/Traveler, the only difference being the colors of the finishing materials. In the cabin there is a “flattened” steering wheel, separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system. JMK Traveler Silver Dragon Wings is made on the basis of one of the expensive configurations, so the list of equipment also includes heated and ventilated front seats, a driving mode selection system, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, auto braking and lane keeping systems.

The engine has been switched from a regular crossover — it is a 2.0 petrol turbo-four with a power of 254 hp, which is combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. The new version has all-wheel drive with a sixth-generation BorgWarner clutch on the rear axle and a locking rear differential. By the way, in China you can still buy an SUV with a 1.5 turbo engine (184 hp), plus for cars with a two-liter engine, a classic eight-speed automatic transmission is also available.

A total of 3,000 JMK Traveler Silver Dragon Wings crossovers will be produced, the price is 219,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 2.7 million rubles at the current exchange rate. For comparison, a standard Jetour Traveler costs from 139,900 to 184,900 yuan (about 1.7 million — 2.3 million rubles).

As for Russia, we have started sales of Jetour T2 is scheduled for March, the model will be offered with 2.0T and all-wheel drive, prices have not yet been announced. There is no information yet about whether the “pumped up” crossover will be presented in the Russian Federation.
