The SUV with a new name differed from its brothers not only in its exterior design, but also in its filling.
Last fall, Chery announced the creation of an electrified line in China, for which the name Fulwin (in Chinese sounds like Fengyun) was revived. Let us remember that this name was given to the first model of the Chery brand, which debuted in 1999, and later that car had an heir, and he is familiar to Russians — we are talking about the Amulet. The first-born of the new series was the Fulwin A8 sedan, that is, a hybrid version of the Chery Arrizo 8: this four-door has already gone on sale in its homeland. Next, the production of the large Fulwin T9 crossover (its exact characteristics have not yet been revealed), the brother of the Chery Tiggo 9, began. Well, now the company has shared photos from tests of the younger SUV — the Fulwin T6. And this cross is also not made from scratch.

Chery Fulwin T6 is a rechargeable hybrid version of the model, which in the Middle Kingdom is known as Chery Explore 06, and in Russia is presented as Jaecoo J7 (Jaecoo is a sub-brand of Chery). Like the Fulwin T9, the SUV is distinguished by its exterior design: the five-door has a smooth “nose” with a separate series logo and different bumpers, plus the main headlight units are designed slightly differently. The length of the hybrid is 4540 mm, which is 40 mm longer than the Russian Jaecoo J7. The wheelbase of the cars is the same — 2672 mm.

Chery itself has not yet published a photo of the interior of the T6, but representatives of local specialized media have already managed to get acquainted with the new product. So, inside the hybrid cross generally repeated the standard model, except that the door handles were replaced. The main feature is the vertical tablet of the multimedia system.

The C-DM installation includes a 1.5 petrol turbo engine and an electric motor; the total output of the system has not yet been named. Chinese media write that the Fulwin T6 received a battery with a capacity of 18.3 kWh; on electric power alone, the crossover will be able to travel approximately 93 km (according to other sources — 120 km, according to the CLTC cycle).

Chery Fulwin T6 will make its full premiere at the end of February. Meanwhile, later the hybrid SUV may well reach Russia, but with a different emblem and nameplates. In particular, previously a separate brand Chery Tiggo was created in the Russian Federation for the electrified models of the Chinese company (previously this brand was announced under the name Chery NEV).
