Kartapolov: The Ukrainian Armed Forces could strike St. Petersburg with a drone from the Kharkov or Sumy regions
Ukrainian drones could fly to St. Petersburg from the northern regions of the Kharkov or Sumy regions. Such assumptions were voiced by the head of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kartapolov in an interview with Fontanka.
He emphasized that the West is supplying Ukraine with drones with a long range that can fly to the Northern capital from territories controlled by Kiev.< /p>
“There, in my opinion, a drone was recently found somewhere on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. It has a wingspan of seven meters. It has an Italian two-stroke engine. It can carry 20 kilograms of load,” said the Russian deputy .
Kartapolov emphasized that the United States is providing Ukraine with intelligence about areas with Russian air defense systems, which helps drone operators avoid those areas. The parliamentarian assured that the responsible structures and the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov are doing everything to minimize such cases in the future.
