MOSCOW, April 3 A fighting dog attacked a four-year-old boy in the entrance of a house in the Moscow region, a criminal case has been opened, as reported in the Telegram channel of the regional head office of the Russian Investigative Committee.
It is noted that on April 2, on a flight of stairs between floors in the entrance of a residential building in the village of Kraskovo, Lyubertsy urban district, an American Staffordshire terrier attacked a four-year-old boy, injuring his head and torso. The child is hospitalized.
“»On this fact, the investigative department for the city of Lyubertsy of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region opened a criminal case (part 1 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),» the message says.
As specified in the Telegram channel of the Moscow Region Prosecutor's Office, the dog «left the apartment on its own and attacked a four-year-old boy.» It is noted that during the inspection, prosecutors will establish the circumstances and causes of the incident, and will also assess compliance with the requirements of the law on the responsible treatment of animals.
