ROSTOV-ON-DON, April 3 The Rostov regional court confirmed the verdict of the district court, which sentenced two men to nine years in prison for shooting at a car with an entrepreneur and taking it from him. 9 million rubles, reports the Russian Federal Security Service for the region.
Operatives established that in September 2017, Geregin Keyan and Karen Arakelyan, together with Alexander Krivko (sentenced in 2018 to 9 years in prison), fired at a car with an entrepreneur and took 9 million rubles from him. The man suffered a gunshot wound, but survived and later identified his assailants.
Krivko was detained in a short time, and Keyan and Arakelyan were detained only in 2020. During the investigation, Keyan and Arakelyan repeatedly made attempts to intimidate witnesses and the victim, the department noted.
The Kamensky District Court of the Rostov Region found Keyan and Arakelyan guilty of robbery and sentenced each to 9 years in prison to be served in a maximum security colony. “By the decision of the judicial panel for criminal cases of the Rostov Regional Court, the verdict of the Kamensky District Court in their regard was left unchanged and entered into legal force,” the message said.
