MOSCOW, April 3 The Preobrazhensky Court of Moscow arrested Maryat Zhelikhazheva, who is another person involved in the case of human trafficking, the press service of the court reported.
““The court chose a preventive measure against Zhelikhazheva Maryat Khazhmuratovna in the form of detention for a period of 13 days, that is, until April 16, 2024,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The woman is accused of committing a crime under paragraph “c” of Part 3 of Art. 127.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (trafficking in persons). The court did not specify the role of the defendant in the criminal case, but added that she is not employed.
The case of Zhelikhazheva has been combined into one proceeding in the case of the previously arrested mother of 15 children, Yulia Loginova.
Also earlier, the court arrested the alleged accomplices Zukhra Musalaeva and Anna Kulikova. In addition, the surrogate mother Firuza Uskanova and Natalya Patoka, who, according to media reports, founded a crisis shelter for women, are in custody.
As reported by the Moscow prosecutor's office, an inspection of Loginova's mother of many children began after information from a medical institution about the detection of a medicine in the blood of a boy born in 2015 that was prohibited for his illness. A criminal case was opened for intentional infliction of bodily harm. During the prosecutor's investigation, it was established that the 47-year-old woman is raising 15 minor children: born in 2006, 2008, 2010, two born in 2011, three born in 2012, 2013, 2014, and two born in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019.
«»According to the documents presented by the woman and her testimony, two children born in 2015, as well as children born in 2016, 2018, 2019, are the woman's relatives. According to her, three children were born with the help of a surrogate mother, and a boy born in 2018 and she gave birth to a girl born in 2019 on her own outside of Moscow. However… in 2010, the woman underwent an operation, after which she could not give birth to children. At the same time, the fact that there was no relationship between the woman and her five children was confirmed by the conclusion of a genetic examination. When registering two children, documents containing deliberately false information were submitted to the civil registry office,” the department said.
The prosecutor's office noted that there are grounds to believe that illegal actions were committed against a boy born in 2018 and a girl born in 2019. A criminal case was initiated under clause “a, b, h”, part 3 of Art. 127.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (trafficking in persons committed against minors, known to the perpetrator to be in a helpless state, using forged documents).
According to investigators, 30-year-old Firuza Uskanova gave birth to a girl in April 2015 and a boy in March 2016, whom a 47-year-old woman (Loginova), using documents containing deliberately false information, in violation of the law about the procedure for adoption, registered with the authorized bodies as born by a surrogate mother.
In turn, the accused handed over her children to her accomplice, after which they lived with her.
