In Kurgan, valuables are removed from museums due to floods

YEKATERINBURG, April 9 Valuables are being removed from museums in Kurgan due to flooding, reports the regional museum association.
«»Due to the current situation with flooding in the region and the introduced state of emergency, the House-Museum of the Decembrists, the House-Museum of V.K. museum valuables,” says a message published on the organization’s social networks.
The governor of the Kurgan region has introduced a high alert regime in the region since April 5; the threat of flooding exists for more than 60 settlements. According to the forecast of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the flood-hazardous period, 62 settlements, 4,300 houses, 5,550 household plots, 600 summer cottages may be flooded in the region, and 18,718 people may fall into the emergency zone.
