The restyling of the SUV, intended for the South American market, followed the same scenario as the recently introduced Chevrolet S10 pickup.
Production of the Chevrolet Trailblazer frame SUV and the related S10 pickup truck for the South American market has been established in Brazil, and it is here that the updated truck has already debuted (it was declassified at the beginning of this month), and in the near future it will be followed by a “frame one”, which also have prepared another restyled version.
Let us remind you that the current second generation Trailblazer has been produced since 2012; the model experienced its first serious restyling in 2016, the second in 2020. Now, it would seem, the time has come to change the generation, but the company decided to make do with another update. The completely new product will be declassified later, but for now the company showed a refreshed SUV on video.

However, the video can surprise little: the restyled Chevrolet S10 pickup truck has already tried on most of the new features. In any case, the design of the front part of the SUV is similar: it also has relief stampings on the hood, new head optics of a narrower shape and with a different “filling”. The SUV also no longer has an inscription with the brand name on the jumper between the headlights, and the foglights are now designed differently.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer began to look more brutal due to a two-story radiator grille of a different shape and with a different pattern, which was created from horizontal curved lines. The brand name in the form of a “bow tie” is now located not on the side, but in the center — on the jumper between the upper and lower parts of the “grill”. The rear of the frame SUV was not changed: the lights, reflectors, chrome strip and brand logo remained the same as the 2020 version, and in the same places.
The interior of the updated Trailblazer is the same as that of the refreshed S10 pickup. During the update, the SUV received a different steering wheel (with adjustment for height and reach), a different front panel with an 8-inch diagonal digital instrument panel and an 11-inch touchscreen for the MyLink infotainment system. The list of differences from the truck only includes the presence of a third row with a pair of additional seats.

The technology of related models is also the same, so under the hood of the restyled frame there is an upgraded four-cylinder Duramax turbodiesel with a volume of 2.8 liters. Its output has increased by 7 horsepower and is now 207 hp, and the maximum torque has increased by 10 Nm to 510 Nm. In addition, the engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, whereas the pre-reform SUV was equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The updated Chevrolet Trailblazer will go on sale at South American market in June of this year. It is expected that the company will keep the starting price of the model at the same level. Note that a current frame SUV in Brazil can be purchased for at least 368,550 reais (equivalent to approximately 6.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
