The live premiere of both new products will likely take place as part of the Beijing Motor Show, which will open its doors towards the end of this month.
Last year the Geely brand launched another new family – Galaxy. Only electrified cars are produced under it, and the indices with the letter L are intended for hybrids, and with the letter E for “electric trains”. The range currently includes a pair of Galaxy L6 and Galaxy E8 sedans, as well as the Galaxy L7 crossover. Last month, another SUV was announced – the Galaxy E5, which is positioned as a global model.

During the announcement, the company published several pictures of the all-electric crossover: then the prototype was hidden behind a camouflage film, which depicted inscriptions in various languages, most of them indicating a greeting. By the way, you can find “Hello” on the body, although the Russian representative office of Geely noted that in the near future there are no plans to start official sales of the Galaxy line in the Russian Federation.
Now the model has shed its camouflage: certification images of the Galaxy E5 have appeared on the Internet. Judging by them, the exterior of the model was designed in the style of the E8 electric sedan. The new head optics have rounded shapes and a complex pattern, and it also includes thin curved lines of running lights. The lights are also made in a similar form: they are connected to each other across the entire width of the tailgate using a massive jumper with luminous stripes. This “green” SUV also has retractable door handles, traditional exterior mirrors, roof rails and plastic trim on the wheel arches.

The overall length of the crossover is 4615 mm, width – 1901 mm, height – 1670 mm, and the distance between the axles – 2750 mm. The interior of the new product is still kept secret, but it can be assumed that it will borrow a lot from the Galaxy E8 electric sedan. In this case, a single 45-inch display can be installed in the cabin, combining a virtual instrument panel, a central touchscreen for the infotainment system and a display for the front passenger.
According to preliminary data, the Geely Galaxy E5 is based on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform, which it shares with the Galaxy E8 sedan. According to Chinese media reports, the crossover was equipped with a single electric motor of the TZ184XY101 series, the power of which is 217 hp. There are no other details about the “filling” yet.

More Geely announced a new product in the Galaxy family: we are talking about a large flagship crossover, which will probably be assigned the index L9. So far, the Chinese company has published only one image of the future new product. Judging by the teaser, a concept is being prepared for the premiere in the near future: the car has cameras instead of conventional exterior mirrors, as well as luminous circuits instead of door handles (for the commercial version they will probably be retractable).
