Russian striker Valery Nichushkin scored three goals for the winners (32, 40 and 60 minutes), Artturi Lehkonen (9) and Cale Makar (36) scored once each. Nate Schmidt (14) scored for Winnipeg.

Nichushkin scored six goals in four matches of the current playoffs. His debut match in the NHL was played by Russian forward “Colorado” Nikolai Kovalenko, who played in the 2023/24 season in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo”. After the team's elimination from the Gagarin Cup, the forward moved to Colorado, which drafted him in 2018 with the 171st pick.
