Together with the serial SUV, the Stellantis concern also showed a prototype of an “off-road” design. The commercial Jeep crossover is presented with dual-motor all-wheel drive, the total power of this option exceeds 600 hp.
The Jeep Wagoneer S electric crossover debuted as a concept two years ago, and the first images of the production-ready model were published in early 2024. Now the production SUV has been almost completely declassified. By the way, formally the crossover is considered the first global electric Jeep, because the junior SUV Jeep Avenger is not sold in the States.

The Wagoneer S is based on the STLA Large platform from the Stellantis concern, on which is also built, for example, new Dodge Charger. The length of the crossover is 4886 mm (all characteristics are relevant for the American version), width – 2123 mm, height – 1645 mm, wheelbase – 2870 mm.
That is, in length the new product is slightly longer than its main competitor, the Tesla Model Y, but the distance between Tesla’s axles is greater. The passport ground clearance of the electric Jeep is only 162 mm. The aerodynamic drag coefficient Cd is 0.29 versus 0.23 for Tesla. However, this is still the best indicator among Jeeps.

Exterior design features of the Jeep Wagoneer S – concave “radiator grille” with family slots, narrow head optics , squared wheel arches and rear lights designed in the form of a single die. In the five-seater cabin, four screens are installed at once — these are the instrument panel, the central and passenger touchscreens of the multimedia system, and a separate touch panel responsible for controlling the “climate” and other functions. The Jeep Wagoneer S also gets a two-spoke steering wheel. The Launch Edition package also includes atmospheric interior lighting, heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, all-round cameras, an “active driving assistance system” and other assistants.

The Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition has a dual-motor all-wheel drive, with the front engine being able to “disconnect” to save electricity. The total output is 608 hp and 837 Nm. There is a Select-Terrain system with Auto, Sand, Snow, Eco and Sport modes. The crossover is equipped with a 100.5 kWh battery. It is reported that the electric car accelerates from zero to 97 km/h in 3.4 seconds, while the Tesla Model Y Performance will do this exercise in 3.5 seconds. The Wagoneer S has a range of “more than 483 km” versus 449 km for the Model Y Performance.

Simultaneously with the commercial top-end electric cross, the Stellantis concern showed the Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept. There is no word yet on the production prospects of the show car, but, apparently, we have before us a prototype of the future “off-road” version. This SUV has a more impressive body kit, a roof rack, off-road tires and an interior with only two screens (the separate panel from the tunnel and the passenger touchscreen have been removed). In addition, the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept has the Select-Terrain system complemented by the Rock preset, plus there is an electronic rear axle lock.
In the US, sales of the electric Jeep Wagoneer S will start in the fall of this year. The price of the top version of the Launch Edition has already been announced – $71,995 (including delivery). And it's $20,000 more expensive than the Tesla Model Y Performance! However, later the Wagoneer S will have more affordable versions. After the electric car masters the American market, it will reach other regions.
