The new Jetour X70 Plus appeared in official photos: such a crossover may be brought to Russia

The upcoming SUV differs from other members of the X70 family, first of all, in the design of the front end. This SUV should enter the domestic market before the end of this year. According to preliminary data, the model will be offered with a 1.5 petrol turbo engine.

The very first crossover Jetour X70 (the Jetour brand belongs to Chery) debuted in 2018. And today this is a separate family: it includes cars with various prefixes — for example, Plus or Pro. They differ from each other mainly in design. In March 2024, certification photos of the Jetour X70 Plus SUV with a new look appeared on the Internet. A month later, such a crossover was exhibited at the Beijing Auto Show, but it was not given a separate press release. And now the brand has finally started promoting the latest Plus: branded images have been published. By the way, it is not yet known whether this Jetour X70 Plus will become a replacement for one of the current crossovers or whether it will complement the range.

The appearance of the “seventy” is made in a new corporate style, which has already been tried on by the older SUV Jetour X90 Pro. A characteristic feature is a narrow LED line under the edge of the hood and rectangular headlight units located below. At the same time, the Jetour X70 Plus also received a radiator grille with horizontal stripes, while the X90 Pro has vertical wedges on the grille. The new version also differs from other Pluses in the design of the rear bumper.

New Jetour X70 Plus for China

There are no official pictures of the interior yet. The car shown in Beijing had a scoreboard inside in a new casing and new air deflectors. The model has a five- or seven-seat interior.

According to preliminary information, the transformed Jetour X70 Plus will be offered with a 1.5 petrol turbo-four with a power of 184 hp. There is no information about the box yet. The drive is most likely only front-wheel drive.

In China, a crossover with a new design is expected to go on sale this year.

Recall that one of the varieties of Jetour X70 Plus is also available in Russia market (Kolesa.ru has already tested an SUV, details are in our material). In the Russian Federation, the SUV is today presented with a 1.6 turbo engine (190 hp), 7DCT and front-wheel drive. Recommended price – from 2,999,900 rubles (excluding shares).

Meanwhile, earlier the local division of Jetour promised Russia a whole bunch of premieres. So, on the presentation slide, a certain new X70 Plus was highlighted — and it is very similar to the model that will soon appear in China. The start of Russian sales of this Plus is scheduled for the first quarter of next year, and our SUV is promised all-wheel drive.
