MOSCOW, July 11 Football players of the Colombian national team beat the team of Uruguay and became the Argentines' rivals in the final match of the America's Cup, taking place in the USA.
The meeting took place on Thursday night, Moscow time, in the city of Charlotte (North Carolina) and ended with a victory for the Colombians with a score of 1:0. Jefferson Lerma scored from a pass from James Rodriguez in the 39th minute. For most of the match, the Colombians played in the minority due to the sending off of Daniel Muñoz in the first minute added to the first half for a second yellow card.

Rodriguez provided his sixth assist in the current Copa America. This is the best result since at least 2011. The Colombian surpassed Argentine Lionel Messi, who made five assists in the tournament in 2021.
