Jeremy Renner has shared his take on death in a snowplow accident that left him seriously injured.
The Oscar nominee said he «forgot to set the parking brake» in a car before he was hit by it, breaking more than 30 more bones, destroying a lung and puncturing his liver.
New photos show Renner hooked up to a ventilator with a brace around his neck as he lies in a hospital intensive care unit, his face is covered with bruises.

Renner claimed he was at fault for the accident and apologized to his family for that they put them to the test in an ABC interview on Thursday.
He drove a plow to haul one of the family's trucks out of the snow onto the pavement and said he was worried about his nephew Alex's safety as the plow started slipping on ice.
Alex has just unhooked the chains connecting the truck and plow. Renner put his foot out of the plow and looked back at Alex, but did not apply the parking brake.
Then he lost his balance and fell out of the plow cab. ABC shared a detailed recreation of how the incident unfolded.

“You shouldn't be outside the car when you drive it, you know what I mean? It's like driving with one foot out of the car,» Renner, who is in a wheelchair, told ABC News journalist Diane Sawyer. “But that's what it was. And it's my fault, and I paid the price.»
Renner then jumped back into the car to prevent the plow from rolling back and crushing his nephew. He stepped on the tracks of the moving plow wheels, which threw him forward and the car ran over him.
Neighbors caring for the 52-year-old actor, best known for playing the Marvel superhero Hawkeye in the Avengers films, said that found him in the blood, with shallow breathing and with a crack in the skull.
Rich Kovacs and Barb Fletcher, the only neighbors who were home that day, said they thought Renner was «gone for a couple of seconds.»
«At some point he just got sticky, he became grey-green and I feel in my heart that I feel like we lost it for a second,» Fletcher told Sawyer. “He closed his eyes. And I was just trying to keep him awake. I really feel like he passed away for a couple of seconds. True».

Mr Kovacs said he was shocked by the «amount of blood» caused by Renner's injuries.
«And then he was — he was just experiencing this pain,” he said. “And the sounds that came from him, and so much blood on the snow.
“And then, when I looked at his head, it seemed to me that it was split wide open. And I could see white, I don't know if it was his skull…maybe it was just my imagination, but I thought that was what I saw.”
Ms. Fletcher remembered grabbing towels to hold Renner «struggled to breathe». She saw «a lot of blood coming out of his head.»
Renner said that as soon as he woke up in the hospital, he gestured to his family with a gesture that meant «sorry.» “This is my responsibility,” he said. «I'm sorry my actions caused so much pain.»
Doctors used screws and titanium rods to repair broken ribs. Metal was also placed on his legs and face to repair his eye socket.
The actor is currently undergoing many hours of debilitating therapy for his injuries, and he was shown how he walks with the help of a machine.

Renner was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in the 2008 film The Hurt Locker and Best Supporting Actor for his work in the 2010 film The Town.
He is scheduled to make a personal return to Hollywood on Tuesday on the red carpet of his television series Rennervations, in which he helps repurpose old vehicles such as buses and provide them to communities in need.
Renner expressed his gratitude to his family for support. helping him survive the accident by saying «I've been fueled and fueled by love and titanium.»
