Crossover Haval M6 debuted in China in 2017, it is made on the platform of the previous H6, now Emka opens the brand line. By the way, once they wanted to sell this SUV in Russia: it was expected that the SUV would be registered at the Stavropol Auto plant under the DW Hower brand. However, the cross did not reach the Russian Federation, because the DW Hower project was turned off. Haval himself did not bring the simple M6 to our market, but he was brought to Kazakhstan: today they opened orders for Chinese-made cars there, the start of “live” sales is scheduled for May.

That modernization brought new optics, a radiator grille, bumpers and a hood to the cross, a different multimedia system was installed in the cabin — with a touchscreen towering above the front panel. In addition, in the Celestial Empire, the SUV acquired the “surname” Plus, although in Kazakhstan it was decided to sell “just” the M6. />
In terms of its dimensions, the cross is close to the deceased Russian-made Nissan X-Trail. The length of the «Chinese» is 4664 mm, width — 1830 mm, height — 1729 mm, wheelbase — 2680 mm. As in the PRC, in Kazakhstan, the Haval M6 is available with a non-alternative petrol “turbo four” 1.5, but for the export version it was slightly “strangled”: the engine produces 143 hp. and 202 Nm instead of 150 hp and 218 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed «mechanics» or a seven-speed robotic box with two clutches. All-wheel drive model is not allowed — only front.

Haval M6 is presented in two trim levels — Comfort and Elite. The list of standard equipment includes: 17-inch wheels, diode headlights and lights, power steering, fabric upholstery, single-zone climate control, heated front seats, multimedia system with a 10.25-inch screen, frontal airbags, ESC. The Elite version also includes fog lights, roof rails, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera and cruise control. Virtual tidying or all-round cameras are not provided even for a surcharge.
In Kazakhstan, the SUV retained its title the cheapest Haval model: «emka» costs 8,990,000 — 10,990,000 tenge, which is equivalent to about 1,650,000 — 2,019,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. In Russia, the most affordable Haval today is the more compact (but also more modern) Jolion SUV — from 1,799,000 rubles (2023 release, excluding shares). M6 for the Russian Federation is still not announced.
Meanwhile, subsequently, Haval M6 may get on the conveyor of the new multi-brand plant of Astana Motors: the enterprise should be launched in Kazakhstan in 2025, it will also expect to make Changan and Chery models.
