Sarah Beals, a 37-year-old divorcee from New Jersey, has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers online. followers, «The Girl of Donbass» — or «The Girl of Donbass» — is a Russian Jewess from the occupied Ukrainian city of Luhansk, who has been broadcasting Kremlin propaganda in good faith for months.

Several of her Twitter accounts have been banned, but, unafraid, she created the disinformation empire of the Donbass Girl — branded "the girl and the cat against the whole world".
Ms. Beals was exposed by the North Atlantic Fella Organization (NAFO), which collects funds for Ukraine and the fight against disinformation.
As a Donbas girl, she posted photos on Twitter, giving her name as Mila. Last July, she created a YouTube channel and then another Twitter account under the nickname @Luganskforlife.
She is also, at least on social media, claims to be an expert on geopolitics and history. In one profile, Ms. Beals says she is a student at Arizona State University's online School of Politics and Global Studies.
Enthusiasm for tropical fish proves her doom
According to public information records, she was born in Voorhees, New Jersey and enlisted in the US Navy in November 2009. The discrepancies between her social media personality and reality are striking.
In 2014, a girl from Donbass told her followers that she was traveling between the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don. -Don and Lugansk in Ukraine.
At that time, she claimed, Kyiv was killing people in Lugansk, where 53% of the population is Ukrainian and 47% Russian.
Ms. Beals is a US Navy veteran.
The reality, however, is that she was embroiled in a lawsuit with her husband for three years in Oak Harbor, Washington.

She appeared in cooperative podcast «Aquarium» in June 2020. NAFO later compared the footage, which included her voice and home décor, to posts from the girl from Donbass.
NAFO and reporters from Malcontent News identified the Girl from Donbass as Sarah Beals (sometimes spelled Beals).
Unexplained Departure from the Fleet
The circumstances under which she left the Fleet are unclear.
Ms. Beals was involved in a high-speed collision, but allegations that she was fired for drunk driving have not been substantiated, and there are no court records that she was prosecuted.
However, Ms. Beals claims that she was forced to leave the service because of her leftist views.
In an interview over the weekend at her home, Ms. Beals admitted that she is the administrator of the Donbass Girl accounts and host podcasts.
She added that she was one of the 15 people involved in managing the network, and declined to name the rest.
According to the Wall of the Street Journal, the Donbass Girl Telegram account, played a key role in distributing intelligence documents allegedly leaked by Airman First Class Jack Teixeira by reposting them on many obscure online chat rooms. But Ms. Beals denied any personal involvement.
