A purely gasoline crossover JAC with a length of 4605 mm reached Russia quite recently, we have it with the JS6 index. But in China, the model debuted back in 2021, where it is called QX. Now the manufacturer has announced the expansion of the range at home: a rechargeable hybrid QX PHEV is preparing for the start of sales, its public premiere was held as part of the Shanghai Motor Show. It is curious that the “traditional” SUV in the home market is presented under the Sehol sub-brand, while the hybrid version was shown exactly as JAC, and even with a new company emblem. That is, it is possible that the Sehol brand in China will soon be liquidated. Well, let us recall that in the Russian Federation, the JAC concern also became famous for the fact that its models became donors for the revived Moskvich: the compact Moskvich 3 SUV is the JAC JS4/Sehol X4, and the upcoming Moskvich 6 liftback is the JAC J7/Sehol Yao. The new version has its own design. So, JAC QX PHEV received a frameless grille and retouched bumpers, black door trims were supplemented with chrome inserts. Inside, the central tunnel was redone: in particular, instead of a separate touch panel responsible for managing the «climate», a number of physical buttons appeared. In addition, finishing materials have become different. The arsenal of the hybrid also includes scoreboards (tidy and multimedia screens with a diagonal of 12.3 inches each; similar displays are put on a purely gasoline SUV), a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control and a lane keeping system.
