Chelsea will get down to business with a huge cleanup as the club struggles to balance their squad just in time for the start of summer pre-season training.
On top of having to balance the books after spending £600m pounds sterling for new players, Chelsea need to lay off up to 10 players in order for the next permanent head coach to take over in the summer.
There is an increasing need to reduce the number of players in the main team that currently exists. at 31, is the fact that there are already three guaranteed additions in the form of right-back Malo Gusto and striker Christopher Nkunku. Levi Colville will also return from his loan spell at Brighton to compete for a first team spot.
Sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart will take over the overhaul. Here Matt Lowe of Telegraph Sport gives his verdict to those who have doubts about their future, who should be kept and who Chelsea should try to sell.
