It is reported that the future car has already been shown to dealers of the American brand. The model can borrow some of the solutions from the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept.
The Chrysler brand is part of the Stellantis auto giant, which was formed in early 2021 as a result of the merger of the French PSA group and the Italian-American concern FCA (the “old” names of the merger parties are no longer used). Chrysler's problem is obvious: the brand's lineup consists of a couple of long-aging cars: we are talking about a large 300 sedan and a Pacifica minivan. Despite this, Stellaantis is in no hurry to update the line: it was previously reported that new products should definitely not be expected in 2023.

As previously reported, Chrysler, along with other brands, will actively go green. Back in early 2022, brand head Christine Fayell hinted that up to three electric vehicles could appear in the brand's lineup by 2028. The next novelty, most likely, will be an all-electric SUV, created on the basis of the Airflow concept, which was presented at CES, held in Las Vegas. A production SUV is expected to arrive closer to 2025.

And in 2026, the company is likely to introduce another completely “green” novelty, which as a result will be the successor to the Chrysler 300 with an internal combustion engine. Rumors that such a model is under development have been appearing in the media for more than a year. Now MoparInsiders.com, citing its own sources, reports that the company has already shown a prototype of the future electric car to its dealers. jpg» />The upcoming Chrysler 300 successor is similar to the car that was shown at the 2021 Stellantis presentation, and also has similar design features to the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT electric car concept that was unveiled during the Monterey Car Week (USA), sources say. . Both cars can be classified as fastbacks with a long front overhang.
As noted by dealers present at the private show, the presented prototype turned out to be approximately the same dimensions as the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT show car (by the way, the production version of this electric car is expected in 2024). Recall that the Dodge brand is also included in the Stellantis portfolio, obviously, the new products of these two American brands will have the same platform, equipment and a number of other borrowings, including in appearance.

Chrysler 300 will be retired very soon: back in September last year, Chrysler announced that 2023 would be the last year of the model on the assembly line. The current large sedan is available in the farewell version of the 300C, which is equipped with a 492-horsepower HEMI V8 engine with a volume of 6.4 liters (maximum torque — 644 Nm). To accelerate from standstill to almost “hundreds” (up to 97 km/h), such a “four-door” needs 4.3 seconds. The top speed is 257 km/h.
The third all-electric novelty of the Chrysler brand, which, according to the plan, should replenish the lineup, will be a minivan. It is expected that it will be based on the STLA Large platform. Apparently, this model will become the successor to the current Pacifica minivan, which is still in demand in the home market.
