Now in the Citroen lineup, in fact, there are two different SUVs with the name C3 Aircross. The first is a global compact, familiar to the Russians, it has been made since 2017 in Spain, in 2021 this “five-door” has undergone restyling. And the second Citroen C3 Aircross has just been simultaneously presented in India and Brazil, production will be launched there (with a localization level of 90% declared), such a crossover is also planned to be sold in Southeast Asia and other countries of South America. By the way, the cross shown today has become the second model of the budget C-Cubed family, it will join the small Citroen C3 hatchback (not to be confused with the hatch of the same name for Europe). Note that there is a version that the “global” C3 Aircross in the next generation will repeat the model for emerging markets, but there is no mention of this in the Stellantis release.

Like an inexpensive hatch, the SUV is built on a CMP (Common Modular Platform) trolley; global namesakes are based on the old PF1 platform. From a relative, the new SUV also got head optics, a hood and door handles. However, the body of the C3 Aircross is still its own, the stern is also framed differently. The length of the crossover is 4.32 m, the wheelbase is 2.67 m. For comparison, the indicators of the current “world” Citroen C3 Aircross are 4.15 and 2.6 m, respectively. The passport ground clearance of the novelty is 200 mm.

The front of the cabin is almost the same as that of the platform hatchback. At the same time, the crossover was equipped with a 7-inch color instrument cluster, while the C3 has a small monochrome display. Air conditioning deflectors for second-row passengers turned out to be unusual — they were installed on the ceiling. A multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen and five USB connectors are also announced for the SUV. A complete list of equipment will be published later.

The trunk volume of the two-row version is 444 liters. But the volume of the cargo compartment for a seven-seater crossover is indicated with the third row removed — 511 liters.
