Both limited-edition cars have been given an orange paint job. Dealers will start accepting applications for the special Supra lottery next week.
The Japanese manufacturer launched the Supra sports car in 1978, but back in 2002 the model left the assembly line. Later, the company decided to revive this car: the fifth generation debuted at the beginning of 2019 in Detroit. The United States remains one of the main markets for the sports car. According to the Carsalesbase website, American dealers sold 4,694 units in January-November last year, which is 26% less than a year earlier.

The coupe has a racing version of the Toyota GR Supra GT4, the company reported a small “anniversary mark”: the number of copies sold reached 100 units. It is worth recalling that sales of such a sports car started a little over three years ago, first, in March 2020, the option was offered to Europeans, then it got to North America, later to Japan and other Asian markets.
To commemorate the occasion, the Japanese company decided to release a couple of special editions, both of which received a bright orange body color. One of the options was the racing modification of the Toyota GR Supra GT4 100 Edition. It was decided to release such a car in only three copies. It was equipped with additional aerodynamic elements, which were placed in the front; in addition, each received its own badge indicating the special version number.
The second special variant is the Toyota Supra Plasma Orange 100 Edition based on the RZ package. This is already a road sports car, which differs from the “regular” version due to black matte forged aluminum wheels, and the same color brake calipers. The interior is decorated in dark colors, the seats are upholstered in Alcantara, in addition, there is a carbon fiber plate with the name of the version on the front panel.

Supra Plasma Orange 100 Edition will also be released in a limited edition: only 100 copies will be released. The company said that applications from those wishing to buy a car will be accepted from May 8 to June 4, while those who can buy a car will be determined using a lottery. If the price of the racing special version was kept secret by the company, then the price of a special road sports car is already known – it starts at 7.6 million yen (or about 55.8 thousand dollars at the current exchange rate). Deliveries of cars to customers are scheduled for next autumn. The Japanese brand is the German sports car BMW Z4 (G29). Both models are manufactured at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz (Austria). The engine range of the rear-wheel drive Supra includes a pair of petrol turbo engines – a 2.0-liter B48 (output is 197 or 258 hp), and a 3.0-liter B58 engine (340 or 387 hp). The pair is offered either an eight-speed automatic ZF or a six-speed manual iMT6.
