The local division of the Chinese brand announced two new cars for our market at once.
This year turned out to be rich in Changan premieres in Russia. So, in winter, we started official sales of the Uni-V liftback and the coupe-like CS85 SUV, and in April the large CS95 crossover entered the market. And now two more novelties have been announced, this time sedans: the silhouettes of models with the promise «soon» appeared on the brand's website. The names of the cars have not yet been disclosed. However, earlier one of the “four-doors” was caught in the Russian Federation, in addition, some Changan dealers have already posted sedans on their online platforms. And even though the latter fact may mean parallel imports, we will still focus on sellers. So, most likely, the compact Changan Alsvin and Eado Plus will be brought to us. Let's start with the younger «four-door».

The current generation Changan Alsvin sedan debuted in 2018. By the way, in some countries the model is now sold under the name V3, so there is still a chance that in the Russian Federation they will not use the name that sounds dissonant to our ears (however, dealers list the compact as Alsvin). In terms of its dimensions, this model is close to the actually deceased Russian Kia Rio: the length of the “Chinese” is 4390 mm, the width is 1725 mm, the height is 1490 mm, the wheelbase is 2535 mm. Trunk volume — 430 liters versus 460 liters in the four-door Rio.

In export markets, Alsvin is presented with gasoline “aspirated” 1.4 and 1.5 (for example, in Chile they give out 93 and 95 hp, respectively), the first is combined with “mechanics”, the second is a robotic box. The list of equipment includes a multimedia system, air conditioning, rear view camera and cruise control.

The “four-door” Changan Eado was already sold in Russia, but it failed: from 2014 to 2016. we have sold about 200 machines of the first generation. The second-generation model (in service since 2018) has a much better chance, especially in an empty market. It should be noted that in the homeland the “second” sedan was repeatedly modernized, the last time it was refreshed there in 2022. But for export now, cars with the Plus prefix are mainly supplied after the previous restyling — the sample of 2019.
Changan Eado Plus of the sample of 2019 in the sported version S 2/2In terms of wheelbase size (2700 mm) Plus coincides with Kia Cerato, while in other dimensions the “Chinese” is superior to the “Korean”: length — 4730 mm, width — 1820 mm, height — 1505 mm (Cerato dimensions: 4640/1800/1450 mm). The capacity of the cargo compartment is 500 liters (for Cerato — 502 liters).
The engine range of Changan Eado Plus includes petrol «turbo four» 1.4 (160 hp) and «aspirated» 1.6 (128 hp .). The turbo engine works in tandem with the 7DCT, the atmospheric engine is equipped with «mechanics» or a variator. This model comes with virtual instrument cluster, surround view cameras and adaptive cruise control.

Details about Changan sedans for Russia will follow soon. Meanwhile, one of the dealers asks for at least 1,710,000 rubles for Alsvin (a 1.5 106 hp atmospheric engine is indicated), there are no prices for Eado Plus yet. However, in any case, it is still worth waiting for the official release.
