Cupra separated from the parent company Seat at the beginning of 2018, before that, the “charged” versions of the Seats received a corresponding increase in the name. The brand's lineup today includes several cars, for example, the Tavascan serial crossover debuted at the end of last month. The company unveiled the name of the future serial SUV – Cupra Raval. It is associated with the name of one of the quarters of Barcelona. Recall that the crossover will be created based on the sports show car called UrbanRebel, which was presented at the Munich Motor Show in the fall of 2021. A close-to-production prototype with the same name appeared in the summer of 2022.
Cupra Raval will take the place of an entry-level electric car in the brand hierarchy. There is no official information about the technique of the serial Cupra Raval yet. The UrbanRebel prototype was equipped with a single 226 hp electric motor. The production of the Cupra Raval serial SUV, as well as its closest “relatives”, will be launched at the facilities of the enterprise, which is located in Martorel ( Spain). The release of the novelty will start in 2025, it is possible that it will appear on sale in the European market in 2026.
