    New cross-station wagon Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain: first images

An all-terrain station wagon based on the new E-class was recently spotted by photo spies, and we decided to imagine what it would look like.

At the end of last month, the official premiere of the new generation E-class with the factory index W214 took place. So far, only a sedan has been presented, but later it will be joined by a station wagon and its cross-version, which was noticed by photo spies during the tests. This model was first demonstrated in September 2016 at the Paris Motor Show and received the X213 index. In 2020, it received a restyling along with the rest of the E-Class family, and now a new generation car is being prepared for the premiere.

One of the main features of the novelty will, of course, be increased ground clearance. By the way, for the previous generation model, this figure was very modest – 156 mm in the upper position of the air suspension. The new cross-station wagon will be easily recognizable by the contrasting plastic body kit and new bumpers, as well as by the original grille with a pair of horizontal bars. In addition, for the novelty, they will certainly offer discs with an original design.

In technical terms, the cross-wagon will hardly differ much from the already presented sedan, it will also and motors. One of them could be a 3.0 inline 6-cylinder in a mild hybrid setup with a total output of 375 hp. for the E 450 model. By the way, in the Russian market, until recently, the current generation model was presented in a single version – the E 220 d with a 2-liter 194-horsepower engine.
