The latest development of the American tuning studio Apocalypse Manufacturing is addressed to fans of post-apocalyptic aesthetics and fast off-road driving.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Apocalypse Manufacturing specializes in making monstrous three-axle conversions of stock pickups and SUVs (mostly of American origin) with a style and target audience similar to Rezvani Motors of California , but prices are more affordable.
The Super Truck is the first four-wheeled model released by Apocalypse under its own brand, it is, in fact, a Juggernaut 6×6 pickup truck shortened by one axle, made on the basis of the Ram 1500, but so that the Juggernaut 6×6 and Super Truck do not look similar, Apocalypse designers have significantly redesigned a protective body kit made of a Kevlar-based composite with a sandpaper texture for a four-wheeled vehicle. Super Truck is equipped with a unique “gramper” (a jargon formed by combining the words “grill” and “bumper”) and door linings with fake air intakes, the body is covered with a sloping kung with a roll-type waterproof curtain, the thresholds are equipped with retractable steps.

The tuning studio replaces the standard wings of the Ram 1500 with open arches, counting not only on the brutal post-apocalyptic aesthetics, but also on the increased travel of the modified suspension, designed for driving at high speed over rough terrain with frequent jumps over dunes and gully. The company claims that the Apocalypse Super Truck lands painlessly on the ground after jumping off a three-meter springboard – the developers have done this exercise more than 50 times in testing.

The Apocalypse Super Truck has a durable Dana 60 axle at the rear, lockable differentials, wide 22″ wheels and 40″ serrated tires.

Under the hood is the legendary 6.2-liter HEMI supercharged gasoline V8: in the most powerful stock Ram 1500 TRX it produces 712 hp, and in the Apocalypse Super Truck it is boosted to 862 hp. The manufacturer, unfortunately, did not indicate the dynamic qualities. Towable weight is 6.8t.

The stock interior has been re-upholstered in hard-wearing rough leather and lavishly decorated with Apocalypse branding. The interior equipment is basically the same as the original Ram 1500, but at the request of the customer, Apocalypse is ready to provide the Super Truck with additional “bells and whistles”. The Apocalypse Super Truck has a starting price of $159,000.
