Now it's official: the price of the Dongfeng Shine Max sedan for Russia has been announced

A large four-door is offered with a single turbo engine. The bundle is also the same, but not poor.

The day before, Kolesa.ru found out that Dongfeng brought a sedan to Russia, and today the local office officially announced the expansion of the range. Recall that in native China, the model debuted in 2021, where it is called Aeolus Yixuan Max, but in our country the “four-door” will be sold under the name Dongfeng Shine Max.

Max is built on the DSMA (Dongfeng Superior Modular Architecture) platform: it is presented as an independent development of the Chinese auto giant, but in reality this “trolley” is a legally modernized CMP (Common Modular Platform) of the Stellantis concern. Front – McPherson struts, rear – multi-link.

Shine Max length is 4797 mm, width – 1870 mm, height – 1475 mm, wheelbase – 2770 mm. Thus, the Dongfeng sedan as a whole fits into the “substitutes” for the Russian deceased Toyota Camry (although the Toyota model is still slightly larger: length – 4885 mm, distance between the axles – 2825 mm). The passport ground clearance of the “Chinese” is 150 mm. Trunk volume, alas, is not indicated.

In Russia, Dongfeng Shine Max is available with a non-alternative petrol “turbo four” 1.5 with a capacity of 190 hp. It is curious that for our version the maximum torque of 320 Nm is declared instead of 300 Nm at home (by the way, in China the model is still in the form of a hybrid). The engine is paired with a seven-speed Getrag robotic gearbox with two “wet” clutches. Front wheel drive only.

In the Russian market, the sedan is offered in the only rich Luxury package. The arsenal of new items includes: LED optics, 17-inch wheels, leather interior, virtual tidy (12.3 inches), a multimedia system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a driver's seat with ventilation and a massage function, climate control, a panoramic sunroof in the roof, wireless charging for smartphones. Also, by default, the sedan has front and side airbags, curtain airbags (including for rear passengers), all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, auto-brake systems, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring.

Recommended price for Dongfeng Shine Max is 2,990,000 rubles, live sales will start soon. Max's main competitor will be the Chery Arrizo 8 sedan (it should get to dealers in the summer). The model range of the Russian brand Evolute consists of cars, and we also have a full complement of the premium brand Voyah. Finally, Forthing cars appeared in the Russian Federation – this brand is also part of Dongfeng.
