The presentation of three fresh Cadillacs is scheduled for May 28 in China at once: this is the second-generation CT6 sedan, the locally restyled XT4 crossover and a completely new GT4 model. It should be noted that all of the listed cars have already appeared in the documents of the “celestial” Ministry of Industry, in addition, official images of the flagship “four-door” appeared a few days ago. Well, today Cadillac shared branded pictures of the GT4.
This “five-door” is considered by local specialized media to be a “coupe-style” crossover, although it looks more like a cross-hatch. Be that as it may, the GT4 is tipped to be the brand's most affordable SUV. The closest relative of the novelty is the aforementioned Cadillac XT4, the models share the E2XX platform with a transverse engine. At the same time, the Cadillac GT4 is longer, narrower and lower than its brother, the dimensions of the new “five-door”: 4633/1878/1535 mm. Indicators of the restyled Chinese XT4: 4602/1881/1628 mm. The wheelbase of the GT4 is 2800 mm versus 2779 mm for the “full” SUV.
The appearance is designed in the current corporate style of the brand. Cadillac GT4 received separate narrow running lights, and additional vertical “fangs” are stuck to the main headlight units.
